Monument Valley

A John Wayne classic western movie fan or any southwestern lover must have known this place. We visited Monument Valley on the way back home from our Colorado trip and also stopped by for a photo shoot at the four-corner area where Arizona - Utah - Colorado - and New Mexico all touch. Entering to the valley, I asked my husband to stop our car just to take a picture on the classic road leading into the valley. OMG! I was stunned by the view! The magnificent spires and stone towers of Monument Valley have inspired many movies and are seen regularly in TV Commercials. Traditional Navajo (American Indian tribe) lifestyles can be seen in and around Monument Valley.

My husband & I are constantly amazed by this beautiful land. The landscape overwhelms, not just by its beauty but also by its size. The fragile pinnacles of rock are surrounded by miles of mesas and buttes, shrubs, trees, and windblown sand, all comprising the magnificent colors of the valley. All of this harmoniously combines to make Monument Valley a truly wondrous experience.
