Telluride, Colorado. A spectacular Rocky Mountain Valley with heavy snowfalls makes Colorado's world's famous Ski Resort destination.
Colorado offers many world-class ski resorts such as Aspen, Telluride, Vail and so many others. This time we visited "Telluride". Telluride is a small town with a number 1 ranking by Conde Nast Traveler and Sunset Magazine for the most beautiful mountain views for skiing. My wonderful husband knew that I wished to experience skiing snowboarding, and other snow activities so he started to plan and make sure that this trip was going to be an incredible winter vacation experience for me.
We arrived and stayed at a stunning beautiful cozy Hotel Telluride. The room was a charming American Classic style yet cozy. It was cold below zero Fahrenheit outside but we prepared for it and bundled up to keep us warm. We walked around downtown with a spectacular view of San Juan Mountain covered with snow in front of us until we were craving food so we stopped at a nice restaurant in the mountain village. After we gained our energy back from the freezing air, we continued by taking a tram up to the top of the mountain for a panoramic view of the town and visited the ski resort. The ski at that location was very advanced, not a place for a beginner to start, so instead I decided to go for ice skating and tobogganing :-)
We've heard that there is a restaurant up on the mountain top with breathtaking views of the sunset behind the mountain peak and also the food is fabulous. So we booked the best two seats at Allred's restaurant and yes! it was absolutely beautiful with the best view of the sunset and a fantastic photo opportunity to appreciate the view & the food at that time. Everything is top-notch at this place. Later, I submitted one of our pictures to Telluride which I followed on Facebook and they picked our picture to promote their website of Telluride. We were so glad and so honored.
We have had the pleasure of meeting some very friendly locals here. We also met some individuals from Europe, who have fallen in love with this place and decided to make it their home. I love Telluride so much that I had to revisit it from another perspective, and it did not disappoint. Yes, I adore Telluride!
